The green circle depends on COOPERATION
It brings together all the neighboring municipalities, people of Portage County, and visitors in the unifying spirit of nature, history, wellness and enjoyment. It is made possible by the support of private landowners, local governmental units, the Business Council, UW-Stevens Point, public utilities, state and federal agencies, and the citizens of our great community. Here's how you've asked to respect and preserve this unusual resource for all who use it now and in the future.

Something for Everyone
This greenway is for residents and visitors of all ages. It places natural areas at our doorstep - for hiking, biking, jogging, cross-country skiing, canoeing, wildlife watching, fishing, family outings, and just plain solitude. The Green Circle preserves our natural areas while assuring their safe use for present and future generations.
Like to get Involved?
Since the Green Circle is a community project, everyone's involvement is welcomed (individuals, civic groups, schools, clubs or corporations).
