Better Credit in a Changing World

The Credit industry is changing rapidly. We are conditioned to buy on credit and to live on Credit.  Nowadays in order to drive a vehicle legally, you will need car insurance. That car insurance is quoted to you based on your credit, the better the score, the cheaper the insurance.

Most landlords check your credit before renting to you to see if you pay your bills on time or to check your employment history. Speaking of employment history, did you know that employers can now check your credit file before hiring you? That's Right! Pre-employment screening has become popular. So if you are in debt or have outstanding bills that you need to pay, you may not get the job to earn the money that you need to pay these debts. Kind of a catch 22 isn't it?

Also at the same time, the credit card companies are raising interest rates at an alarming rate and they are cancelling many credit lines, no explanation given. Even if you pay all of your payments on time, every time, imagine that...

Just think, you have spent years to Achieve Better Credit and one day an appliance in your home goes out. You go to the nearest appliance center to buy another, you hand the clerk your trusty credit card, and then you wait. The clerk comes back to tell you that your card has been declined with no explanation given. You argue with the clerk "Surely there must be a mistake, I pay my bills and I have had this credit card for years". You are so ashamed that you leave the store immediately to run home and call somebody. You call the number on the back of the card to enter a bunch of numbers and listen to recordings. Finally a person comes on the phone to eventually tell you " We are very sorry, but..."

They are not sorry, in fact, they do not care! Really, the only person who cares about your credit is YOU. Everyone, especially in today’s world, should closely monitor their credit.

There are factors such as: inquiries, credit lines, credit limits, balances, errors, scores, and employment that affect everyone.

There are also people out there that would love to be you. They would like to spend your money on clothes, electronics, house wares, tools, and even homes, boats, and cars. They want to spend your money instead of theirs, by stealing your identity. The worst thing about identity theft is, you don't think you need protection until it has happened to you, then it is too late.

We are coming into a Changing World and we all better be on our toes. We have to be careful what we spend, what the economy is doing, what the government is doing, and what our community is doing. When it all is said and done, you better have your credit issues taken care of in order to drive, work, educate, basically maintain a standard of living. Now is the time to prepare.
